At a glance

  • What it is: house and flat removals across the whole of Ealing, run by a family-run firm with its own trained crews, quoted accurately after a free survey.
  • Typical timeline: a two-bed flat is usually a morning job. A three to four-bed house takes the full day.
  • How pricing works: free survey first, then an accurate written quote. Our published guide ranges give you a ballpark before you book, and the free survey fixes the exact price. A 10% deposit books the date and the balance is due after completion.
  • Coverage: all of Ealing, from Ealing Broadway, Ealing Common and Pitshanger out through West Ealing, Hanwell, Southall, Northolt, Perivale, Greenford and Acton, and the streets between them, run from our Harlow base.
  • Insurance included: £50,000 of goods in transit cover on every move, in the quote as standard.
  • Response time: fill in the form or call 0207 846 0282 and we reply within one working day.
  • Booking lead time: two to three weeks is comfortable for most dates. Book earlier if your street needs a bay suspension, because the cheaper rate applies from seven working days ahead.

Ealing rewards the prepared. The conservation streets around Ealing Broadway hold big Victorian villas with cellars and turning stairs, the semis out in Perivale and Greenford have grown lofts and rear extensions over two generations, Southall still runs on terraced streets that go right up to the front door, and the new-builds by North Acton station want lifts booked and loading windows kept. Then add the A40 rumbling along the north of the borough and controlled parking on street after street. None of it is a problem when somebody has measured it in advance, which is exactly what our survey is for.

We are Aviv Removals, a family-run firm based in Harlow on the Essex border, and we carry out removals in Ealing and the streets around it every week. Adam, our owner, has been in the trade for more than fifteen years, and every job is run by one trained crew of our own. We do not use subcontractors, so the people who quote your home are the people who turn up on moving day, and everything from the first phone call to the last box follows the same house removals in London method we use across the capital.

Most Ealing removals start with the same simple step: fill in the form or call 0207 846 0282 and book a free guided video survey. We reply within one working day, we come back to you with an accurate written quote, and the price we agree is the price you pay.

What removals in Ealing cost

Most Ealing moves land in these ranges:

Home sizeTypical cost (inc VAT)
2-bedroom£480 - £960
3-bedroom£1,020 - £1,500
4-bedroom£1,500 - £2,100
5-bedroom£2,100 - £3,000

These are guides, not quotes. The accurate figure comes from seeing the move - a video call or WhatsApp walk-through, or an in-person survey for larger homes. The survey is free and the price we agree is set before the move. We start at two-bedroom homes - studios and one-bedroom moves are not taken on their own.

We do not publish a set price list. Every quote follows a real survey of your home, because two Ealing flats with the same number of bedrooms can be completely different jobs once you have counted the stairs. What we can tell you is what drives the number up or down:

FactorWhat it does to your quote
Size of the propertyMore rooms means more volume, and volume decides the crew size and the vehicle. A two-bed flat and a four-bed semi need different crews and rarely the same amount of time.
Stairs and accessA cellar adds a flight down and a turn at the bottom, a loft conversion adds a flight and a turn at the top, and a long terraced path adds a carry. The survey measures every flight, so nothing surprises anyone on the day.
Distance and routeMiles matter, and so does the hour. Crossing the A40 or threading the Hanger Lane gyratory at school-run time costs more of the day than the mileage suggests.
ParkingIf bays need suspending outside your home, the council charges per space, per day. We flag it at survey so it is in the budget, not on an invoice afterwards.
ExtrasPacking, materials, dismantling, storage and appliance moves are all available. Some customers want the full service, some just want the heavy lifting. You choose, and it is priced into the same quote.

The accurate quote covers the whole job: the crew, the van, blankets and straps, insurance for your belongings, and fuel. Floor protection and furniture wrapping are part of how we work on every move, not extras you discover on the invoice.

Payment is straightforward. A 10% deposit at booking secures your date, and the balance is due after the move is complete, once everything is in and you have seen the job done. We take payment by bank transfer, card or cash, and the survey and the quote cost you nothing.

To give you a sense of job shapes rather than numbers we cannot honestly quote from a distance: a two-bed conversion flat off Ealing Broadway, with a staircase that turns and a suspended bay outside, typically needs a morning crew and one bay held for a few hours. A four-bed 1930s semi in Greenford with the loft done and wardrobes on every landing is a different shape of job altogether: bigger crew, larger lorry, two suspended bays and the full day. Your own quote will sit somewhere on that spectrum, and the survey is what places it.

How removals in Ealing work

Cellar steps, loft conversions, kerb space on the terraced streets and building rules at the new blocks are all measured at survey, and where your street needs one, the bay suspension is booked before the lorry arrives.

Parking and access in Ealing

Street after street across the borough sits in an Ealing controlled parking zone, and the operating hours differ from zone to zone. On a controlled street a removal lorry cannot legally wait in a resident bay during controlled hours, so the practical answer is a bay suspension: the council reserves the bays outside your home for the day. Reserve two bays, not one. A 7.5 tonne lorry takes up about a bay and a half on its own, and it needs room to work.

Ealing charges for suspensions per bay, per day, and a bay is five metres of kerb. An application in at least seven working days before the suspension starts costs £39 per bay, per day, rising to £50 per bay, per day inside that window, with an absolute minimum of three working days before the start date. Two things catch people out. The suspension holds the bays round the clock in resident bays, not just during controlled hours, which is why the booking runs the whole day rather than the loading window. And cancelling or changing wants at least two working days’ notice, because inside that the council does not refund, and there is a £25 administration fee on refunds it does make. The Ealing Council parking suspension page lists the current terms and takes the application.

Applying is technically the resident’s job, because the council needs your details and payment. But you do not have to handle it alone. We will point you at the right page, tell you when to apply and roughly what it will cost, and if you would rather not deal with it at all, we help arrange the suspension with Ealing Council (council fee applies).

Not every street needs a suspension, and it is one of the first things we check at survey. If you do not need to pay the council, we will not book one. The A40 Western Avenue across the north of the borough and the A406 at Hanger Lane are TfL red routes, where stopping is restricted at the best of times, so for addresses fronting them the plan is usually a side-road bay nearby rather than a suspension outside the door.

A word to the well-meaning neighbour with the cones: Ealing treats placing bins or cones on the road to reserve parking as illegal, so the space is booked properly rather than guarded on the day. The conservation streets around Ealing Broadway and Ealing Green - The Grove, Haven Green, the villas along Mount Park Road - bring wide period front doors and cellar steps, and we protect them with floor coverings and doorframe guards on every job. In Hanwell the conservation streets by the church and the canal hold the older cottages and the Cuckoo Estate’s terraces, where the front door often opens straight onto the street.

The street scene matters as much as the kerb. In Southall the terraces run off The Broadway and the roads around it stay busy with buses and shopfront deliveries all day, so flats above the shops usually load from a side street instead. Out in Perivale and Greenford the 1930s semis set the job through their extensions: loft conversions add a flight and a tight turn at the top, and wardrobes that went up in pieces come down the same way. In the new-builds around North Acton station the concierge books the lift and the loading runs to a window, and we flag all of it at survey so the booking is in your name before move day.

Why choose Aviv Removals

  • 5.0 on Google, across 160+ five-star reviews. That is the rating customers leave, not a claim we make about ourselves.
  • Insurance included as standard. £50,000 of goods in transit cover on every move, in the quote, not bolted on afterwards.
  • Accurate quotes after a real survey. The price we agree is the price you pay.
  • One trained crew, all the way through. No subcontractors, no day labour picked up on the morning.
  • An owner with more than fifteen years in the trade. Adam still runs the crews the way he ran them when he started.

That matters most in a borough as varied as Ealing. Our crews work the villa streets and cellar steps of the Ealing Broadway conservation areas, the extended semis of Perivale, Greenford and Northolt, and the terraced roads of Southall and Hanwell on what is a normal week for us, not a one-off challenge. The same crew that surveys your home loads it, drives it and unpacks it.

Man and van in Ealing

Not every Ealing job needs a full crew and a convoy. A two-bed flat turning over between lettings near West Ealing station. A few pieces of furniture going to family across town. One awkward item that will not fit in the car, let alone up the stairs. That is the work our man and van service exists for in Ealing, and it comes with none of the compromises the phrase usually implies. It is the smaller end of a proper removals company, run to the same standard as our man and van work across London: a trained, uniformed crew who do the lifting, not a driver who supervises.

The pricing works the same way as everything else on this page. We survey the job, quote it accurately, and where the job is genuinely the smaller thing it looks like, the quote sits at the bottom of the guide ranges above. And we will tell you honestly when it is not: a whole flat or a family house needs a bigger crew, more vehicles and a full survey, and pretending it fits one vanload is how moving days go wrong. Describe the job and we will tell you which one it is.

Areas we cover around Ealing

Ealing sits within our wider West London coverage. Within the borough itself we cover Ealing Broadway, Ealing Common, Pitshanger, West Ealing, Hanwell, Southall, Norwood Green, Northolt, Perivale, Greenford, Acton and Chiswick, and the streets between them. Wherever you are heading, the same crew takes you from the first door to the last.

Storage and packing in Ealing (if you want them)

If your dates do not line up, your things go from your home into sealed 250 cu ft wooden containers at our own yard. They are loaded once, in front of you, and kept sealed until you want them back, which means nothing is handled in and out of a shared warehouse on the way. Storage in London can be booked as the same job as the move, so one crew collects, stores and redelivers when your new home is ready.

If you would rather not face the boxes at all, our packing service covers everything from the whole house to just the kitchen. Full-house packing means we bring the materials, pack room by room, and everything arrives at the other end labelled by room. Kitchen-only packing suits people who want to handle their own clothes and books but would happily never wrap another plate. Both are optional extras, quoted alongside the move.

Common questions about removals in Ealing

How much do removals in Ealing cost?
It depends on the size of the property, access at both ends, the distance and the parking. A two-bed conversion flat and a four-bed semi with a loft conversion are not the same job, so we do not pretend they share a price. After a free survey you get an accurate written quote that includes the crew, the van, insurance and fuel, with a 10% deposit to book and the balance after completion.
Do you cover all of Ealing?
Yes, the whole borough. Ealing Broadway, Ealing Common, Pitshanger, West Ealing, Hanwell, Southall, Norwood Green, Northolt, Perivale, Greenford, Acton and Chiswick, and the streets between them. If your street is in Ealing, we know it and we have almost certainly worked on it.
How far in advance should I book my Ealing move?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for most dates, and earlier for month-end or a summer weekend. If your street needs a bay suspension, build in more time. Ealing charges £39 per bay per day when the application goes in at least seven working days ahead, and £50 when it does not, so the earlier application pays for itself.
Do I need a parking suspension for a removal van in Ealing?
On many streets, yes. The residential streets around the stations and the town centres sit in Ealing controlled parking zones, and a lorry cannot legally wait in a resident bay during controlled hours. We check your street at survey stage and tell you honestly whether you need one. You can apply to Ealing Council yourself, or we help arrange the suspension with the council (council fee applies).
Can you handle the conservation streets and the extended semis?
Yes, they are normal work for us. The villas in the conservation streets around Ealing Broadway and Hanwell bring cellars, narrow front doors and turning stairs, and the 1930s semis in Perivale and Greenford often come with loft conversions and rear extensions that add a flight and a half. We protect the floors and doorframes, bring the right number of crew for the stairs, and measure it all at survey.
What insurance is included?
Every move includes £50,000 of goods in transit cover as standard, in the quote rather than bolted on afterwards. We hold £1,000,000 of public liability cover as well. In practice the better protection is how we work. Floors and doorframes protected first, furniture wrapped before it lifts, and a single trained crew who know where every box is.
Do you offer storage in Ealing?
We do not store in the area, but your things do not need to stay in Ealing. They go into sealed 250 cu ft wooden containers at our own yard, loaded once in front of you and kept sealed until you want them back. Storage can be booked as the same job as the move, with the same crew collecting and redelivering.
Can I pack my own boxes, or should I use your packing service?
Both work. Plenty of customers pack their own boxes and leave the furniture to us, which suits people who want to spread the packing across a few evenings. If you would rather not, our packing service covers everything from the whole house to just the kitchen, and it is quoted alongside the move so there is one price for the lot.
Do you do man and van jobs in Ealing?
Yes, as the smaller end of a proper removals company rather than a driver with a van. A man and van booking in Ealing gets the same trained, uniformed crew, the same surveyed accurate price and the same insurance as any other move, sitting at the bottom of the guide range when the job is genuinely small. Tell us what the job is and we will tell you honestly whether it needs one van or a full crew.
Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Beds, wardrobes and tables that need taking apart to leave the building are dismantled on the day and reassembled in the right rooms at the other end. In the loft-converted semis it is often the only way a wardrobe leaves the bedroom, and the survey picks up anything unusually complex so the time is in the accurate quote.
How do I get a quote for my Ealing move?
Fill in the form on this page or call 0207 846 0282. We reply within one working day, book your free survey, usually a guided video call of about twenty minutes, and follow it with an accurate written quote. The survey and the quote are both free and there is no obligation.
Do you cover moves out of Ealing, or out of London altogether?
Both. Ealing to another part of London is a normal day for us, and moves out towards Essex and Hertfordshire are regular runs from our Harlow base. We cover the whole of the UK and Europe as well, so if your Ealing move is the first leg of something longer, it is the same crew and the same accurate quote.
